Dear Friends,

2008 CLASSIC CAR AND BIKE SHOW
26 – 27 January 2008

As always, the participating clubs have my deepest gratitude for contributing to such a successful event. There was a remarkable increase in the number of people attending the show and although we were disappointed by some clubs that did not arrive on Saturday, as well as some individuals who did not represent their clubs well through bad behaviour on Sunday, the weekend went fabulously well.  There has already been a significant show of interest for next year and I can only say that this show continues to go from strength to strength!

For your interest, over the weekend, we had exhibitions from 29 clubs and 3 businesses, as well as 11 individual members of the public who displayed a total of around 465 vehicles / motorcycles / machines.  We also had around 3 100 paying members of the public through the gate. 

I am already working on the planning for 2009 and will be mailing you all as soon as these details are finalised.  In the meantime, please could you complete the Information Update Form and return it to me via either fax or email.

REPORT BACK

On Wednesday 1 August, IPA members were invited to attend a function at Timour Hall Villa for the presentation of a cheque to Robertson House.  As many of you know, Robertson House was the selected charity for the 2007 Classic Car & Bike Show and we were able to make a donation of R10 000 to this worthwhile cause.
